Closets Launch Is A Huge Success Vance Publishing announced the successful completion of its show launch the Closets & Home Organization Conference & Expo. “We couldn’t have been more successful”, announced Rich Christianson, Conference Director, “with a 35% increase in conference attendance and 200% increase in exhibit space, this is truly the event the industry looks to for everything.” While Closets magazine was launched in 2004, the Closets & Home Organization Conference & Expo was tested as a co-located conference and pavilion of the Texas Woodworking Show in 2005. “After we received such positive feedback from leaders in the industry at the 2005 event, we decided it was the appropriate time to produce a stand alone event”, added Christianson. “Santa Clara was selected due to its location in the heart of the bay area/silicon valley, one of the top high-end home markets in the US. The numbers tell the story of our success. The 2005 event was essentially a one day/one track conference. This year we expanded to 16 leading speakers conducting 24 sessions and 3 keynotes over three days of education. The number of exhibitors nearly tripled. We have established this as the event for the closets and home organization industry.” Registration statistics backed Christiansen’s assertion. With 62% of the attendees Presidents, CEO’s or owners of their companies and 92% of total attendance at a manager level or above, this event truly attracted the top decision makers in the market. “There were no tire-kickers here”, he added. The 2007 Closets & Home Organization Conference & Expo will be March 21-23 in Schaumburg, Illinois at the new Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center.
