Community Service

Building on the spirit of community begun three years ago when we first remembered the victims of 9/11, Hall-Erickson employees once again joined the countrywide Volunteer Day by coming together in a day of service.

Hall-Erickson, Inc. employees volunteered this year at the COACH Care House in Naperville. CoACH Care provides respite care for children with special care needs. CoACH also provides different services and programs such as camp, educational opportunities, family support, etc.

The Hall-Erickson, Inc. employees, along with about 200 other volunteers, help to construct a new playground for the kids at CoACH Care. The playground was donated by KaBoom, and was constructed entirely by volunteers in a single day, which included the Hall-Erickson, Inc. employees.

“It was a tremendous effort by all of the volunteers for a great cause”, said Peggy Hatfield, one of the Hall-Erickson volunteers. "When you start the day, you feel like it is going to be a day of giving, but, when you see the excitement on the faces of the kids at the end of the day, I realized how much I had been given back”, stated Hatfield.
